Strawberry Buttercream Frosting

Discover the magic of freeze-dried strawberries in this luscious Strawberry Buttercream Frosting. With its rich flavour and natural colour, this creamy delight is a perfect match for chocolate cupcakes, lemon cupcakes, or a classic vanilla sheet cake.

Ingredients:

  • 25g Aromacraft freeze-dried strawberry Powder
  • 225g unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 480g confectioners’ sugar
  • 60ml heavy cream or whole milk, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a paddle or whisk attachment, beat the softened butter on medium-high speed until creamy, approximately 2 minutes.
  2. Gradually add the confectioners’ sugar, strawberry powder, heavy cream/milk, and vanilla to the butter. Begin mixing on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to high speed and beat for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Taste the frosting and adjust the consistency by adding 1–2 more tablespoons of heavy cream/milk if desired. Add a pinch of salt to balance sweetness if necessary.
  4. Use the frosting immediately or store it tightly covered.
