Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana, frozen and previously peeled
- 52g cucumber, sliced (preferably with skin on)
- 180-240ml light coconut milk or any other non-dairy milk (adjust for desired thickness)
- 30g spinach or chopped kale, preferably frozen
- 1 tsp Aromacraft Spirulina Powder
- 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
Optional serving ingredients:
- freeze dried or fresh strawberry
- granola (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
- In a blender, combine the frozen banana, cucumber slices, coconut milk, spinach, spirulina powder, and protein powder (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy, ensuring to scrape down the sides as needed for an even blend.
- Adjust the consistency of the smoothie by adding more water or coconut milk if it’s too thick, or incorporating ice or additional frozen banana if it’s too thin. Taste and refine the flavour according to your preference, adding more banana for sweetness, cucumber for freshness, or spirulina and greens for enhanced green colour.
- Serve immediately as is, or elevate the experience by garnishing with strawberries and granola. While this smoothie is best enjoyed fresh, any leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the freezer for up to 1 week. Thaw before consuming if frozen.
Notes:
- When incorporating spirulina into smoothies, start with 1 teaspoon and adjust according to taste preference.
